These boots are amazing. Normally I can't go without foot warmers but I've worn these on 20 degree winter hikes and my feet were toasty warm and dry as can be- with just a thin pair of wool socks. A tad bulky but extremely comfortable, no need to break in. Great traction on slippery terrain. Size up 1/2 size for best fit.
